Pennsylvania Monster

I heard him crash and knew he was down.....

I had been waiting for the rut to kick in before hunting a food plot I had planted.  I had a few pictures on the trail cam of some nice bucks but they had stopped coming in during daylight.  The weather turned cold and I had seen some young buck chasing doe in the other places I had hunted so on Halloween night I gave the food plot a try.
I got into my stand around 2pm and waited, just before 5 pm I saw a doe coming from 160 yards across the field.  She was being followed by another deer which stayed approximatelt 40 yds downwind behind her.  She came to the food plot and began browsing through the clover and turnips while the other stood at the edge watching.  I used my binoculars to see if the deer was a buck and I was surprised to see a nice buck which I had not captured on my cameras.
Once the wind stopped blowing I could hear him grunting at the doe.  I pulled out my Knight and Hale EZ grunter plus call and gave a few soft grunts.  He stared in my direction briefly and looked away.  I grunted louder and immediately he came to within 35 yds and freshened a scrape and thrashed the licking branch.  I grunted louder and he came right to me at fifteen yds.  I placed a good shot on him and he ran off leaving the doe looking around as to figure out what was going on.  I heard him crash and knew he was down but the doe remained for another 25 minutes feeding until she had finally walked off allowing me to get out of my stand.  I trailed him about 100 yards and found him to be a 225 pound 11 pointer.
Thank you Knight and Hale for another successful hunt. With the success I have had so far I have the upmost confidence in your products.
