Archery Fox

It found it's moving target and dropped him on the spot.

After last deer season I had spent alot of time scouting the area I was planning to hunt this season.  Every time I had gone into the area after a snow or rain I had seen fox tracks.  I had hunted coyotes on numerous occassions but had never taken a fox.  I decided it was time, so I set up on the edge of a field with the wind blowing into my face.  I started making distress sounds using my Knight and Hale cottontail call.  I sat and waited about 20 minutes before making a second call.  I hadn't finished making my second series of calls before I saw a gray fox running towards me at the lower treeline along the field.  He came to within 40 yds and tried to get downwind of me.  Using a compound bow I thought my only chance at a shot was to draw back  while he ran behind some brush.  I held back the string until he came to 25 yds.  I knew he was about to be downwind so I released the arrow.  It found it's moving target and dropped him on the spot.
Thank You Knight and Hale for making calls that are easy to use and very effective. I am looking forward to some more success using your products.
