Coyote Hunting in Ohio
Coyote Hunting
Ben's 89 lbs. Coyote

On June 23, 2007, I was hunting in Jefferson County, Ohio on private land that I had previously hunted for deer and turkey.  The landowner was sure the coyote were there.  About 5:30 a.m. I started calling with a mouse squeaker and a Knight & Hale Coyote Howler.  I didn't know what to expect.  It was my first time hunting coyote.  Around 7:30 a.m. before moving to another location I wanted to try one more call.  Knowing that coyote live off wild prey, I started to use a Knight & Hale Crow Call.  I figured I had nothing to lose.  I blew into the call about four times and out from the brush comes an 89 pound coyote that I was able to get a shot at.  So as the old saying goes with a little luck and imagination you can have a successful hunts no matter what you are perusing that day.  Thanks to Knight & Hale I was able to bag my first Ohio coyote!
