Coyote Hunting in Ohio
Coyote Hunting
Ben's 89 lbs. Coyote

On June 23, 2007, I was hunting in Jefferson County, Ohio on private land that I had previously hunted for deer and turkey.  The landowner was sure the coyote were there.  About 5:30 a.m. I started calling with a mouse squeaker and a Knight & Hale Coyote Howler.  I didn't know what to expect.  It was my first time hunting coyote.  Around 7:30 a.m. before moving to another location I wanted to try one more call.  Knowing that coyote live off wild prey, I started to use a Knight & Hale Crow Call.  I figured I had nothing to lose.  I blew into the call about four times and out from the brush comes an 89 pound coyote that I was able to get a shot at.  So as the old saying goes with a little luck and imagination you can have a successful hunts no matter what you are perusing that day.  Thanks to Knight & Hale I was able to bag my first Ohio coyote!

Turkey Hunting in Wellman, IA
Mike and John
A double with bows!

I took a friend of mine hunting in search of his first turkey. We pumped the difficulty level up and took our bows.

We got set up about a half hour before first light. We were graced with no less then 4 toms and their thundering gobbles inside 100 yards of our location. John and I settled in for a great morning. We called the the gobblers off and on most of the morning. The call that John was using, a Knight & Hale Yella Hammer, was the ticket. When the gobblers had pretty much stopped John started working on them with the Yella Hammer. They would routinely respond.

After about 2 hours of this cat and mouse game I looked out into the picked been field that we were in and saw 3 turkeys walking across the field about 600 yards from our position. John and I called a bit more. John could not really see them. I told him to get his bow ready. "Why" was the response I got from John.

Robert's 10 Point

hi guys!  well once again this year by using my knight and hale e z grunter  game call i got this huge 10 pointer--234LBS  field dressed  to come within 75 feet of where i was settled in which was in a treestand 25 feet high in an old pine tree. The ground had frozen the night before and every noise was amplified because of this fact! a half an hour after daylight i started using the call and it wasn't long at all that i heard what at first sounded like a bulldozer coming my way,a long ways out, approaching quite rapidly and then to my awe this big fellow appeared! wow what a buck...close enough to almost touch is what it seemed like,i took aim and fired my 30-06 semi-automatic just once and the buck collapsed to the ground only 75 feet away..

Turkey Hunting in Salisbury, NC
Avery
Avery's First Turkey!

Thank you so much for your simple to use quality calls. Just this morning I had the great pleasure of taking my 8-year old son turkey hunting with a Ol Yeller SLA TEK with us. My son Avery shot his first bird this morning. From the first hit on the Ol Yeller this young bird came a running! (Jake 4 inch beard) I am a deputy sheriff so hunting time is few and far between. Your product was great. I am a beginner at turkey hunting. We have only had a season for 3 years now. I have taken birds each year, but nothing was as great as getting to experience this with my son. Your products brought him in for a close 20 yard shot! We love your TV show, and Avery thought the "turkey guys" as he calls you might want to see a picture.

Thank you again!

Turkey Hunter's Youth Kit Saves the Day
Vasana
Vasanas's Turkey

I'm writing this letter to tell you of the success my wife had using your product. This is her first year turkey hunting. She went out two days with no success. I went out and bought her your "Turkey Hunter's Youth Kit". She was so excited; she watched the video, read the pocket field guide, and practiced with the slate call. And was hunting again. Five days later she called in and bagged her first gobbler all by herself!! She was so excited and is forever hooked on turkey hunting!! Thank you very much for a great product. I have also include a picture of wife and gobbler hope you enjoy it. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Turkey Hunting Success
Turkey Hunting
First turkey of the season

On my 1st turkey hunt of the season I was lucky enough to have brought along my new Knight & Hale slate call and my Knight & Hale diaphragm call. They really did the job. I got my first turkey, and he was amazing! When he was on the ground the calls were getting him angry he was really carrying on with the fighting purr, and he was drumming hard. Then I took my first turkey. He had an 11 1/2 inch beard and 1 3/8 inch spurs. Thank you Knight & Hale.

Knight & Hale Pro Staffers Take On Public Land Osceolas
Rich
Rich's Osceola

Pro Staffer Rich Miller (Anderson, S.C.) and Mick Bowman (Garnett, Kan.) headed to Florida during the first week of the season to take on Florida's tough public land Osceolas as the first bird of their Grand Slams. "We were hunting public land in Gothe Wildlife Management Area," Miller said. "The turkeys were slow and not gobbling well, so we were unable to be aggressive with our calling." The pair used patience and soft calling with the new Turkey Tech Diaphragms to coax the birds within gunrange after locating them with the classic Widowmaker Tube Call.

Deer Hunting in Ohio
Rob
Rob's 13-point Buck

This is my 13-point buck of 2006. I shot him on October 4th at 7:30 AM. I saw him about 70 yards away, sniffing a trail that a doe had just walked down. I used a Knight and Hale Magnum Grunt tube to bring him in to 36 yards for a good quartering away shot. The arrow hit the back of the rib cage on his right side and exited just in front of his front left leg. He went about 15 yards and collapsed. He scored 155 7/8. Thanks to Harold and David for the awesome hunting calls!

Chris' 10-point buck

Here is a picture of my 10-point buck that fell to the Knight & Hale Magnum Grunter on the last day of the Kentucky muzzleloader season. I'd seen this buck on images taken with my Moultrie Game Spy camera, so I decided to sit all day. At 3 p.m., I heard a deer on the ridge above me and I was able to grunt this buck into easy range of my Knight Disc Extreme. Thanks for a great product.

Jim's 9-point buck

I used a Knight & Hale Rattle Bag and a Translator deer call to bring this buck out of a pine thicket. I was hunting with my long time friend and guide Chris Farmer. After my second rattle and grunt sequence this old buck came into easy range of my muzzleloading rifle. Chris had patterned this buck with a Moultrie trail camera for a month. We hunted one day and a 45 yard shot was the outcome. Thanks for a great line of products!

Brenda's 8-point buck

Brenda's 8-point buck

My husband and I hit the woods about 6 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2006. We were optimistic even though it had been warmer than usual. We saw three bucks over the course of an hour or so, but never were able to get a shot. About 8 a.m. I was getting cold and asked how much longer we were going to stay. My husband said that 9:30 was the prime time in this piece of timber so I settled back and waited.

Sure enough, at 9:30 on the dot I noticed movement. Two bucks were working the outside edge of the timber, then headed our way. At 60 yards I grunted on my Knight & Hale Translator and they both stopped. I made the shot with a Knight Rifles Wolverine .50 caliber muzzleloader. What a great first buck!

I harvested this buck during the 2006 Bow Season. He was following two does and by using your Knight & Hale Hands Free Grunter, I was able to pull him away from the does. He gave me a shot at 21 yards. If it wasn't for the grunt call I would have watched him continue on with his Lady Friends.

Lisandro's 8-point buck

Major Lisandro Murphy of Queens, NY, shot this fine 120-class main frame, perfectly symmetrical buck on November 9, 2006 while on military leave in Suffolk, Virginia. After using a combination of Knight & Hale rattling bag, grunting and doe bleating on the fine crisp morning, this big buck came in a clearing through the swamp to investigate while Lisandro prepared and carried out the shot. Lisandro used a T/C Encore in 7mm Rem Mag to drop this buck in his tracks.

November 8, 2006 was a big day for Robert Picken Sr. of Quebec, Canada. He sat in a ladder stand 20 feet up in a patch of maples, cedars and pine that provided him a good view of the surroundings. Things had been quiet a while when a deer snorted at him. He figured a deer had winded him, but after 10 minutes the deer was still snorting, and Pickens decided to take a chance. He pulled out his Knight & Hale EZ Grunt-Er and grunted at the deer. “I never thought for a moment that I’d lay my eyes on that deer,” he said. “ I know he smelled me because he was snorting constantly.” A minute went by before he heard the footsteps of an approaching deer. A big doe walked into the open 120 yards distant, but the snorting continued. He grabbed his call and grunted again.

It was the last day of early muzzleloading Nov 17, 2006. About 7:15 am I heard a deer moving down the ridge. I blowed on the Translator and here he come. It was a large spike. As he was working up the hill he stopped and looked to his left. It didn't take me long to see what he was nervous about. The 10-point buck came out the ridge and ran the spike off. I went back to my Translator grunt call. He stopped in his tracks and turned back around. He gave me the perfect shot.

Thanks to the Translator I got him stopped and made a great shot.

Daniel's 10-point deer
Daniel
Daniel's 10-point deer

It was opening day of the missouri firearms season. My dad and I were hunting some hardwoods in central Missouri. We hadn't seen a thing all morning except for a large doe that I missed early in the morning, but thing were going to change this after noon. After being refreshed with some lunch, my dad and I switched stands to hunt the afternoon. At about 12:30 pm my dad started grunting on his Knight & Hale EZ-Grunter. I was about two hundred yards up the ridge from my dad, and I could here some deer running around below him. Then a shot rang out. I got on the radio to see if my dad had got his deer. He said that he didn't know. So he got down and started looking for sign of a hit, but he couldn't find anything after about thirty minutes of looking around.

Mark's 8-point buck

Mark's 8-point buck

I recently purchased your Ultimate Two Bucks Fighting Bag from a local gun and hunting store around town. On Saturday - November18, 2006, I was sitting in my stand watching three bushy tails eat out of my corn pile. Getting bored I decided to give that bag a try just to see what might happen. I gave a few grunts from my grunt call and just sat back and waited. The sun was starting to shine on me warming me up, so I decided to get a little comfortable and dose off for a few minutes. I looked around one more time before shutting my eyes, when all I seen was horns. Standing about 50 yards form me was this nice 8 point buck starring directly at me . I slowly picked up my sons Remington .243 youth model that I had just bought him a week prior to my hunt, and put the cross hairs on his neck and squeezed the trigger. He fell directly in his tracks and didn't move a muscle.

It was around 10 am in Sumpter County Florida, I smelled what I thought was a deer up wind of me. A few minutes later I saw a doe walk by about 75 yards away. I grabbed my Knight & Hale buck grunt and grunted at her. After the second grunt an nice 8-point setpped out. I took him with my Savage .30-06. Just after I shot, a second buck 11-point setpped out right behind him. I also harvested him. (In Florida you are allowed 2 deer per day). Thank you for your fine product. I will from this day forward carry my Knight & Hale grunt with me on every buck hunt I go on.

I am so glad I washed my hunting cloths using Knight & Hale Ultimate Laundry Detergent before the 2005 Arkansas deer season. I know that scent elimination was critical in helping me take this buck! Opening morning of rifle season, on public land outside of Mansfield, I was sitting on the ground watching an opening where two hill-sides came together. The wind was swirling around the draw, between periods of light sprinkles. At around 7:28 am, this buck stepped out of the underbrush about 40 yards from me and continued along his path, quartering towards me. I sat undetected by the buck until he offered me a good broadside shot, his vision obscured by a tree between us. I squeezed off a round from my .30-.30; he bucked then sprinted another 30 yards before coming to rest in a dried-out creek bed. Thank you for helping me take this fine Arkansas 9-pointer!

Rattle Bag Believer

Rattle Bag BelieverI purchased a small deer rattle bag last year. I have used it quite a bit but I just wanted to let you know about my experience a few nights ago. 2 average bucks were about 300 yards away from my ground blind. It was starting to get dark so I decided to rattle. At first they glanced up at me and kept eating on the grain field. Then to my surprise they started walking slowly towards me, looking up, eating, still walking. I rattled again. One of them sprinted towards me and stops at about 60 yards. The other slowly creeps up. One hand is on my bow and the other on the rattle bag. I give a few small rattles and one comes in at 40 yards. My bow is now drawn but the buck wont turn broadside. After about a minute (seemed like an hour!

I harvested this deer in Tioga, PA on Friday - October 13th at 9 a.m. I watched him do a rub on a tree then he stepped out but I could not get a shot. He started to leave and I got my Knight & Hale EZ Grunt-Er and grunted three times. He then disappeared in some thick brush and I did not see him for 2 minutes then he stepped out giving me a 24 yrd shot with my bow. He ran about 75 yards. The best buck I shot yet. He was 143 lbs field dressed. His rack measured 16 inches inside spread. I had only sat in that stand for 2.5 hrs the opening day and 3 hrs on this day.

Mike's Second Chance Buck

I cannot tell you the emotions of this year.  On Wednesday after hunting all morning and watching an extremely large 10 pointer at 100 yards for about 3 hours the wind switched and made me get down.  A south west wind was the kiss of death for me since the deer were all milling around the bedding area to my north east.  I decided to get down and call it a day.  I made a phone call to a friend and he said I should go back in after them and set up on the north side of the timber if I could get in quietly.  So with that advise I was back out with a Summit Open Shot in hand.  I am a big guy that cannot use that stand very well but it sure seemed to work.  I was not there for 30 minutes when a doe appeared behind me and to my right and she was walking my way.  Following her was an incredible whitetail!

Thanks To A Couple of Good Ole' Kentucky Boys

I never thought over the past 20 years of hunting that I could ever kill a buck of this caliber, but thanks to David and Harold they kept the drive in me to keep trying . My daughter and i try never to miss a show and I would like to say thanks to a couple of good old kentucky boys for putting out such good info on there shows to share with people like my daughter and I. The buck has a green score of 174 3/8 now I am concentrating on a 150 class for my daughter using the same drive that inspired me from David and Harold.
